The Ruut series was born out of the need for a truly versatile bike - one that’s comfortable enough for backpacking and long-distance rides, yet has a distinctly sporty character. At Rondo, everyone is a competitive athlete - they ride fast, they race - but they don’t need a bike for the CX World Championships. What Rondo expects from a drop-bar bike is that it can ride long and fast, especially on rough roads. After over two years of development, they’ve created a tool they believe is the ultimate solution for real-world riders.

An Entry-Level All-Rounder

The RUUT AL2 is a great all-rounder for beginners. It’s the perfect choice for a winter training bike, a commuter bike, or a first gravel bike, featuring bridge-less seat stays and a complete set of fenders, a rack, and bottle cages. The frame is made of lightweight and durable aluminum in new, elegant colors. The components have been carefully selected and tested for reliability. These include user-friendly REVER MCX flat-mount brakes, the same V2 forks found on higher-end models, a simple and reliable 1x11 drivetrain, an FSA crankset, and mud-resistant WTB Nano tires. This bike is responsive and features elegant internal cable routing for a clean finish. We guarantee you’ll rack up many miles on this model.
